The Tiltrotator is an amazing mini digger accessory and makes tricky jobs a lot easier and quicker.

Although very popular in Scandinavian countries, the tiltrotator is still very under-utilized in the UK and we put this down to a number of factors.

Why aren’t Tiltrotators used in the UK?

– Habit: A lot of mini digger drivers are set in their ways; have certain machines and accessories they are accustomed to and don’t like change
– Lack of awareness about Tiltrotators: Although tilt rotators are becoming a little more common in the UK there are still a large number of digger drivers who know little about them
– Lack of Tiltrotator training: In part due the lack of awareness and also due to very few places mini digger drivers can see how tiltrotators operate or gain training on how to use them to their full potential
– Tiltrotator Hire Costs: It’s true that hiring a mini digger with a tiltrotator is more expensive (approximately 40% more on a 3.5 ton mini digger) but this is more than made up for when you see just what they can do, and have been trained in using one.
– Lack of availability to hire: Although the tiltrotators can be replaced with traditional bucket systems, hire companies tend to have just one or 2 machines with tiltrotators in their fleet which makes pre-booking very important.
